Communication is a key factor to a successful shoot. I love knowing all the little details; the details are what makes your session reflect the most important people of my day, YOU. Ask me any questions you wish, from clothing choices to lipstick color, I'm an open book and my number one priority is for your session to tell your story. Below are some of my most frequently asked questions, however, if these don't answer your questions, shoot me an email and we can personalize your session even further.

What should we wear?

First and foremost, I encourage all of my clients to wear something they are comfortable in. If you're uncomfortable, and concerned about how your outfit looks before I even pull out my camera, we're setting ourselves up for a potential disaster. Being comfortable in your attire will only allow your confidence to radiate in the images - you'll literally be glowing. Additionally, I encourage clients to dress their families in a color palette, similar to how you would decorate a room in the house. Choose a color scheme and run with it. Everyone doesn't have to be matchy matchy in navy blue polos and khaki pants - allow your individual personalities to shine through with your attire as well. Afterall, these images are immortal, and we want to capture YOU!

How long will the session last?

Session durations may vary slightly, but for a typical family session you should plan on it lasting anywhere between 1-2 hours. This will allow us enough time for any breaks small children may need, wardrobe changes, location changes, etc. I will never leave a session without feeling as if I have truly captured your family entirely.

What is the turn around time?

Generally, turn around time for a lifestyle session is 2-3 weeks. This allows time to cull, artistically edit and prepare your images for final presentation.

How do you decide where the session will take place?

The best images have hidden meanings of personalization tied into them every where...sometimes even in ways the pulic eye may not recognize, but that is what makes them even more special to you. Sessions are personalized all the way down to the location of the shoot. Upon booking, I work with all of my clients to choose a location that is meaningful to their family's story, whether that may be a town they grew up in, a lake they choose to visit often, or simply their backyard. Beautiful images can be taken anywhere, and having that anywhere hold a special place in your heart solidifies the entire session.
